Destination – Castles and chateaus:


Castle Moosham at Unternberg was the registered office of the country judge and caretaker in the 14th century. It is notorious for its formal witch trials. The castle is now in private ownership and can be visited as a museum.

Castle Mauterndorf: At the medieval timber castle Mauterndorf you can expect many cultural events and historical sights – a must for any trip!

Timber castle Finstergrün is the landmark of Lungau’s district Ramingstein. Castle-snuggery, castle-tours, wood-rope-crag – there is something for everyone.

Murtalbahn: The ride goes from Tamsweg to Murau in Styria through the charming landscape with the legendary team-train. The ride with the Murtalbahn is an experience in its own right!
